Gary and I were both free range children growing up in Strathmore and Norgate. Our play was totally unstructured. Before we were teens, we wandered around the neighborhood and its surroundings, sometimes playing with children whom we hardly knew, other times engaging in plain old fashioned mischief. They were great years and I shall enjoy these memories for as long as I'm alive.

Gary was a very loving, thoughtful guy. I have great memories of staying weekends over my second home in Monticello and spending time with the family. I've always felt at home - Gary always wanted to make sure everyone felt comfortable and was having fun. Will miss him tremendously - my thoughts and prayers go out to Chris, Kylie and the whole family. Please let me know if you need anything.

Gary and I had the opportunity to grow up in a time when kids could be kids. We spent many hours sharing our lives as teens growing up in Roslyn. I cheered him on at every basketball game. He was so graceful to watch. We were fortunate to share where our lives took us in the many high school reunions. I knew he was happy with the life he made with Chris and their joint families because he was so proud to share with me everything happening. Even this past summer he shared how much love he had for the loving, caring family that allowed him to have the greatest possible dignity while suffering from such a horrific disease. With so much love for his dearest ones, especially Chris who remained by his side and allowed him to remain home. May he sleep peacefully now.

My sincere and heartfelt sadness at the loss of Gary.
Gary and his wonderful wife Chris opened their home and lives to my daughter Ally. I was blessed knowing that she had open arms welcoming her with each visit all through her years living in New York. Kylie has been loved like a daughter to me. My arms are open to her always.
I will pray for your family and for Gary.
May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him, loved him and may he Rest In Peace.
