Arlene Platt of Wurtsboro died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 87.
The daughter of the late Abraham Sarine and Flora Green Sarine, she was born September 19, 1931 in Wurtsboro. She was the widow of Donald Platt Sr. who predeceased her on May 4, 2000.
Survivors include a son: Donald Platt Jr. & his wife Pamela of Wurtsboro; two daughters: Darlene DiMartino of Wurtsboro, and Sheila Doty of Cochecton; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter: Sharon; two sons-in-law: John Doty Sr. and Joseph DiMartino; and her 13 brothers and sisters, including her twin sister Pauline.
Family & friends are invited to gather from 9 to 11 am on Tuesday, November 20th at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with a funeral service starting at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
