Andrew Adu Bediako, an Auto Mechanic by trade and a former City Park Worker for the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation, died Friday, August 30, 2013 at his home in Monticello. He was 58 years old.
The son of the late Daniel Christian Bediako and Gladys Asumamah Bediako, he was born January 11, 1955 in Suhum, Ghana.
He is survived by his wife: Paulina, at home; his mother: Gladys of Ghana; a son: Daniel Bediako, at home; three daughters: Gladys Bediako, at home, Phylicia Bediako of State College, PA and Nana Bediako, at home; two grandsons: Na’eem McKay and Paul Bediako; four brothers: Yaw Bediako, Offei Bediako, Kwaku Bediako and Kofi Bediako; and one sister: Joyce Bediako.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Sunday, September 8 from 10am-12pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
