Obituary of Beverly Ann Scott

On August 27th, 2013, Beverly Ann Scott, "Gig" of Monticello, was eased of her strong battle with a short illness, surrounded by her loved ones. The daughter of the late Bertsel A. Price and Beatrice DeGraw Price, she was born August 15, 1943 in Monticello. Gig was an avid shopper who could always find a bargain. She was employed by the Monticello Central Schools for 27 years as a food service employee. She was well known for her "sock-it-to-me cake", and enjoyed collecting dolls and "happy face" cows. She tirelessly helped everybody else. Gig is survived by her loving husband: Edward B. Scott, whom she would have been married to for 50 years in November. Also surviving are their two loving sons: Edward A. Scott and his wife Louise of Monticello, and Jason Scott of Monticello; five grandchildren: Heather, Amanda, Christina, Alexandria and Trevor; four great grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special "sisters": Bobbi Feller of Monticello and Bonnie Jackson of Fredericksburg, VA; and a lifelong friend Pat Inghrim of Monticello. Family & friends are invited to gather on Friday, August 30 from 10am to 12pm at the Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene, 210 Katrina Falls Road in Rock Hill. Her funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon at the church with Rev. Roy Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow at Messenger Cemetery in Southwoods, Monticello.
