Obituary of Robert T. Bennett Jr.

Robert T. Bennett Jr., the owner of AmeriCare Transportation, died Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home in Ferndale surrounded by his family. He was 56. The son of the late Robert T. Bennett Sr. and Dorothy Louise Landeck Moore, he was born July 24, 1962 in Tampa, FL. A veteran of the United States Army, Bobby loved riding his Harley, playing softball with his AmeriCare team and spending any free time with his family. He was the most caring and kind person you'd ever meet and will be greatly missed by everyone. Bobby is survived by his daughter: Sarah Merola & her husband Greg of Ferndale; a brother: Jason Moore & his wife Goldie of Kauneonga Lake; a sister: Mary Ann DuBois & her husband Jeff of South Fallsburg; his grandchildren: Anthony, Destany, Nathan and Caleb; nieces and nephews: Philicity Santillo, Jason Moore, Serenity Moore, Madia Miglionico (Dan) and Andre DuBois (Christa). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a nephew: Jared Santillo. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 29 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 30 at 11:00am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
