Susan Mary Mapes Jahn, a retired local registered nurse, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at her home in Monticello. She was 67.
The daughter of Marion Haas Mapes and the late Clifton Mapes, she was born February 4, 1951 in Monticello. She was the widow of Robert Jahn who predeceased her on August 15, 2015.
She is survived by her two daughters: Tina Kiefer and Gina Taggart Wells (Gregg), both of Monticello; two brothers: Robert and Daniel Mapes of Monticello; She had seven grandchildren: Ashley Price, Shelby Taggart, Hailey Taggart, Leah Taggart, Kelly Taggart, Lauren Kiefer, Howard Kiefer and one great-grandchild: Isabella Moore. A special nephew Bobby Mapes and many other nieces and nephews who she loved. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters: Patty Bernhardt, Louise Mapes and Ellen Price, and her son-In laws Fred Taggart and Howard Kiefer
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
