Obituary of Marc Anthony DeMattos
Marc Anthony DeMattos of Burlingham, a sales rep for Johnston Controls in Harriman, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 13, 2018 in Bolton Landing, NY. He was 47.
The son of Anthony John DeMattos and Louise Patricia Giambona DeMattos, he was born August 4, 1971 in Rome, NY and grew up in Queensbury, NY.
Marc graduated from Marist College earning a degree in accounting. While working at Johnson Controls he was honored with multiple Pinnacle awards for his outstanding dedication and passion for his career. Through his many accomplishments his greatest was his children. His world started and ended with his three daughters and son. From coaching his son's basketball league at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and AAU to cheering at dance recitals, Marc's joy and love for his family could be felt through any room.
Marc was an avid hockey fan starting at the AYHA and spent his days boating on Trout Lake. From paddle boarding to whirling around with his children, Marc was his best self while smiling on the lake. Marc had a heart larger than any other with a selfless humbled spirit. His humor bringing joy to every person he met, Marc was gifted with a genuine warmth those he left behind will hold forever.
He is survived by his wife: Aimee Rouis DeMattos, at home; their four children: Darrigan, Anthony, Madison and Isabella; his parents: Anthony & Louise DeMattos of Bolton Landing; two brothers: Anthony (Robin) DeMattos and their children Lily, Josh and Aliza; and Andrew (Tracy) DeMattos & their children Mackenzie, Bronte and Nicola; additional nieces and nephews: Jonathan, Alexander, Andrew, Gabrielle, Sabrina and Tyler; as well as his in-laws: Paul and Marianne Rouis and many loving friends.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 16 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue in Middletown, NY. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery in Bloomingburg, NY.
