Obituary of Jane Louise Van Acker

Jane Louise Van Acker, age 84, died July 18, 2018 with family by her side. Jane was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Eugene and Jane Young. As a child Jane and her family spent many happy summers in their cottage near Yankee Lake. She married Laurence Alan Van Acker of Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin and they decided to make their home in Wurtsboro, NY where they lived for over 60 years. Jane's last years were spent living with her daughter and son-in-law in New Jersey. Jane is predeceased by her husband, Laurence, sister Elizabeth Rose Finnerty of Long Island and brother Eugene Young of Wurtsboro, NY. Jane leaves behind her beloved daughter Elizabeth and her husband Frank Krupp of New Jersey, many nieces, nephews, extended family, close friends and two loving canine companions. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, July 25 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 26 at 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Interment of her ashes will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
