Roman Horoszowski, a retired car service driver from Queens, NY, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at his home in Smallwood, NY. He was 69.
The son of the late Jan Horoszowski and Jadwiga Gadzinska Horoszowski, he was born June 19, 1949 in Warsaw, Poland.
Roman always put his family's needs above his own, always had a smile on his face, a joke on his lips, or a fascinating fact to share. His passions included crossword puzzles and soccer.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Jadwiga Pawlak Horoszowski, at home; two sons: Matthew Horoszowski & his husband Daniel Gelpi of Apex, NC, and Peter Horoszowski & his wife Mary of Pleasantville, NY; a granddaughter: Samantha Jane; and a sister: Liliana Korol of Queens. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Erwin.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, July 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello with a prayer service starting at 7:30pm.
