Obituary of Peter J. Schmick

Peter Schmick loving, respected and adored husband, proud father and friend to many, passed onto his next journey on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Schmick, Peter is survived by his wife Rebekah, daughter and son-in-law Kaitlyn and Jason Pardes; son Andrew Schmick; grandson Kaiden; and his extended family and friends he gathered and kept close in his heart over his lifetime. He also leaves his four-legged child who loves and misses him dearly. Peter was a true-blue good guy who would help a friend or neighbor at an instant. He was a master tree faller, a skilled and dedicated heavy machine operator and loved all things gas-powered made to make life in the country a bit easier. He took extreme and evident pride in his working environment. The loss of Peter Schmick’s life will be heartfelt by many. He was also a dedicated son. Peter’s life will be remembered and celebrated on Friday, August 16th between 4-6 pm with services at 5:00 pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
