Lenora J. Magie, a lifelong resident of Monticello died Sunday, June 24th in Matamoras, PA. Born October 9, 1932 in Monticello NY to Ida M. (Avery) & Andrew J. Taggart. She graduated from Monticello High School. She married Walter Magie of Woodbourne in 1950. They were married 67 years. They raised 3 children, Walter Magie, Carolyn Price & Susan Stackhouse. She was a member of Monticello Volunteer Ambulance Corp. for many years. In 1997, she was Town of Thompson Senior of the Year. She loved her gardens and crafts. She is survived by her children Walter Butch Magie (Laura), Sue Magie Stackhouse (Jerry), son-in-law Gary Price, grandchildren Christine Smith (Chris), Jill Cormey (John), Billie Jean McGinnis (Chris), Jamie Brasington (Shaun), Gary Magie, Walter Buddy Magie (Nickole), Blake Magie (Alexandria), Toni Burns (Ryan), Katie Stackhouse, Kaci Stackhouse; 17 great grandchildren, 2 god-daughters and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Walter Magie, daughter Carolyn Price, siblings Andy, Stanley, Bill, Bob, Frank, George, Jim Taggart and Agnes Rupp. Family and Friends are invited to gather at 6pm on Saturday, June 30 at Forestburgh Town Hall. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
