Obituary of Ralph Feller

Ralph (Ruby) Feller was born in Hurleyville, son of Harry and Sarah Feller. Ralph moved to Monticello at 2 years of age and spent most of his life there.

 

He was a graduate of Monticello High School. A WWII Veteran he served in Europe, African, Middle Eastern and Asian campaigns. He was the owner of Fellers' Refuse Service. He was very active in the VFW, American Legion, and Jewish War Veterans. He was also a member of BPOE #1544, Honorary Member of Bear Paw Hunting Club and delivered Meals on Wheels until he was 89, he always said "someone has to take care of the old people."

 

He was married to Delia Mae Rumsey, who predeceased him in 1990 he was also predeceased by his sisters Freda Semelmacher, Anita Feller and son Donald He is survived by son, Alfred(Sally), Daughter-in-law, Barbara, sister Miriam Feller, three grandchildren, David Feller, Sara(Steve) Kozachuk, Laura King(James Nicoliello) and great grandchildren, Katelyn, Justin, Jacob, and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.

 

The family would like to thank the staff at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center for all of the care and caring they have given (he considered it home).

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

 

Family & friends are invited to gather Sunday, June 24 from noon to 2:00pm at The VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home 401 Broadway in Monticello NY; with a service starting at 2:00 pm.
