Audrey Thora Robbins, of Bloomingburg, a retired supervisor for ConTel in Middletown, NY, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. She was 90. The daughter of the late Frithiof Rasmussen and Lillian Dahlquist Rasmussen, she was born December 19, 1927 in Staten Island, NY. She was the widow of Herbert Robbins. Audrey was a former Trustee for the Village of Bloomingburg. She is survived by her two sons: John Johnson & his wife Dawn, and Michael Robbins & his wife Tonja; two daughters: Susan Johnson and Nancy Benedict; eight grandchildren: David Johnson (Traci), Steven Johnson (Alison), Jennifer Benedict, Amy Vertanen (Joel), Olin Benedict, Sara Johnson, Matthew Robbins (Megan) and Kyle Robbins; seven great grandchildren: Dailyn, Haidyn, Maisie, Audrey, Melody, Colette and Brooks; a sister-in-law: Lillian Joan Rasmussen; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother: Allen Rasmussen. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 2 from 12-2pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with a prayer service starting at 1:30pm with Pastor Anthony Ciaccio officiating. Interment of her ashes will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
