Obituary of Samuel E. Padin
Samuel E. Padin Jr. of Monticello passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris after a courageous battle with Cancer. He was 48 years young.
The son of Samuel E. Padin Sr. and Delia Muniz Padin, he was born December 10, 1969 in Brooklyn New York.
He was our father, brother, grandfather, son, husband and friend. He was tough, outspoken and respected, yet a very loving and hardworking man that everyone knew and loved in our community. He loved his family and loved his friends. There was never a day that he wouldn’t have a smile on his face. If you ever met him, you were very lucky. Sammy was a special kind of person and everything he did was from the heart. He wanted to be remembered by all his loved ones in a special way. He is going to be truly missed and life is not going to be the same without him, but with all the love and support his family and friends will live each day for him because he would have done the same.
He is survived by his wife: Cristina Paredes Velez, at home; two sons: Brian Padin & Steven Padin; a daughter: Stephanie Padin; five grandchildren: Aliyah, Noah, Steven, Noel, & Gianna; seven siblings: Linda, Caribel, Jonathan, Abner, Ruth, Anna, Tabatha; and many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 30 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 31 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Luis Boria officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
