Robert J. Cordani of Wurtsboro, a retired school security guard, died on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the age of 62. The son of the late Arthur Cordani and Evelyn Aguda Cordani, he was born December 17, 1955 in the Bronx. Bob was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wurtsboro, the Wurtsboro Fire Dept, Mamakating First Aid Squad, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Ellenville Elks & the Haven Hunting Club. He is survived by his wife: Alma, at home; a brother: Arthur Cordani & his wife Adrienne of Lords Valley, PA; sister-in-law: Lynda Mona Cordani of Middletown, NY; two nephews and a niece: Chris (Beth) Cordani of Middletown NY, Anthony (Kara) Cordani, of Campbell Hall, NY and Traci Lynn (David) Noviski of New Hampton NY; great nephew: Daniel; great niece: Juliana; and his mother-in-law: Pilar Amante. Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 20 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Firematic services will be held at 7:30pm. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 21 at 11am at St. Joseph's Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Middletown Humane Society, 142 Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY 10940. Arrangements under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
