Ann Clare Marotta of Wurtsboro, a retired bookkeeper and longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 76. The daughter of the late Dominick Marotta and Josephine Davi Marotta, she was born November 17, 1941 in the Bronx. Ann enjoyed going to the beach and listening to great music and watching a good movie. Above all she cherished spending time with all her friends and family through tears and smiles they all became her wonderful memories. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers: Frederick and James Marotta, and a nephew: Anthony Marotta. She is survived by her two sisters-in-law: Irma Marotta and Sharon Marotta; niece: Stephanie Martel & her husband Duane; nephews: Jeffrey Marotta & his wife Amanda, James Marotta & his fiancé Madeline Boyd, Frederick Marotta & his wife Diane, and Adam Marotta; and great nieces & nephews: Josephine, Adelina, Xavier, Giovanna, London and Jenna. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, March 5 from 4-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with a prayer service starting at approx. 6:30pm.
