Liberato "Chris" Schinaia, a former resident of Wurtsboro, died Monday, January 22, 2018 at his home in Franklin, NJ. He was 97.
The son of the late Vito Schinaia and Rose Florentino Schinaia, he was born July 26, 1920 in Italy. He was the widower of Nicolina Salerno Schinaia, who predeceased him on July 11, 2002.
Chris was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II.
A graveside service and burial with military honors will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:30pm at the St. Joseph's Cemetery, located on Brook Lane in Wurtsboro, NY.
