Donald E. Decker III, "Don", of Ellenville, died unexpectedly in Monticello on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the age of 39.
The son of Leslie Forshay Rogge and the late Donald E. Decker Jr., and grandson of the late Deloris Forshay, he was born March 23, 1978 in Harris.
Don was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, camping, and fishing, along with boating on the Hudson. He loved growing and tending to his plants and garden, planning dinners for family gatherings, celebrating all holidays and enjoying life. His most cherished time was time spent with his children.
He is survived by three children: Donovan Xavier Decker, Yasmin M. White and Donte D. Decker; his mother: Leslie Rogge & her life partner Mike Conway; his stepfather: Erich Rogge; aunt: Vicki Prince & her husband Tom; uncle: John Forshay Sr.; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Glen Wild Cemetery in Glen Wild.
