With deep sorrow, the family of Gerard "Gary" Roman announce the he entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2018. Gary was a humble man who befriended neighbor and stranger, offering to each his friendship and loyalty. He was the son of Lawrence and Frances Roman. Gary will be forever missed by his siblings, Jean Winum & her husband Larry, John Roman & his wife Betsy, Virginia Holzapfel & her husband Merv, Patricia McQuilton & her husband Mickey, Lawrence "Skip" Roman & his fiancé Ilyse Schein, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Gary's love belonged to his devoted Daria Haishun. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15 from 5-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 16 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 6317 State Route 42 in Woodbourne, NY. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Eldred.
