Wayne Allan Lord died suddenly Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the age of 53.
The son of the late Cortland Lord and Jeanette Quick Lord, he was born November 4, 1959 in Middletown.
Wayne grew up in Huguenot, NY with his five foster brothers, Randy, Mark, Henry, Peter and Paul, all under the loving care of Warren and Grace Gardner. Wayne played football, wrestling and track for Port Jervis High School and completed one year at Delhi College before the onset of schizophrenia. All who knew Wayne, knew him as kind, gentle and loving.
He was predeceased by the “love of his life”, Patti Schalaba. In addition to his five foster brothers, he is survived by his devoted brother Glen Lord of Wurtsboro, and many area friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 5 at 11am at the Community Church of Wurtsboro, 134 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Rev. Robert Meyer officiating.
