Obituary of Ronald T. Greco

Ronald T. Greco of Monticello passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 74.
The son of the late Benedict Greco and Clara Manfredonia Greco, he was born October 4, 1943 in Brooklyn.
Ron was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. He was a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology Interior Design Program, co-owner of Focus on Design NYC, owner of Clara's Heart Antiques Monticello and the owner of Ferndale Antiques Marketplace. Ron was an enthusiastic volunteer supporting SAGE and Staten Island Snug Harbor Events among other charities.
Ron was a man of integrity and conviction. He had a powerful presence that was patient, welcoming, and warm. He was generous with his love, often expressed through his incredible baking.
Ron is survived by his life partner of over 35 years: Richard Delia, at home; five brothers: Robert Greco & his wife Helen of Williamsburg, VA. John Greco & his wife Lillian of Ormond Beach, FL, Dennis Greco & his partner Bruce Nach of Smallwood, Richard Greco & his wife Marie of Brooklyn and Norman Greco & his wife Dawn of Fort Edward, NY; a sister-in-law: Jackie Greco of Pahrump, NV; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends, especially Raymond Reynolds and Aline "Breezy" Vanduzer.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother: Vincent Greco.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 21 at 1pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello. Interment of his ashes with military honors will be held at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road in Liberty immediately following the service.
