Obituary of Paul A. Rausch

Paul Albert Rausch, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 92.
The son of the late Albert George Rausch and Philomina Frohwerk Rausch, he was born February 7, 1925 in McKeesport, PA.
He was a loving husband to his wife Ada for 68 years. A father and Grand Father to his son Gregory Rausch and his wife Linda and their six children; his son Norbert Rausch and his wife Susanne and their two children; his son Joseph Rausch and his wife Nora and their five children; his son Thomas Rausch and his wife Georgia and their four children; his daughter Monica McGill and her husband Joe and their three children; his son Edward Rausch and his wife Karen Rausch and their four children; his daughter Angela Ruggeri and her husband Joseph and their five children; his daughter Corina Rausch; his son Frederick Rausch and his wife Shabnum and their nine children; all told, thirty eight Grand Children, and fifty four Great Grand Children.
There are not enough words to describe Paul apart from the incredible example his life portrayed through his guidance, generosity, compassion, and self-sacrifice to all those he came in contact with.
His passion in life with the support of his wife Ada was the sharing of his faith in God and Jesus Christ to his family as well as all those around him.
Many of his accomplishments included WWII Veteran, Graduated Duquesne University with a Bachelor and Masters of education; High School teacher Dunbar Township PA; Language Department head Monticello School District, Past Chief and founding member of the Forestburgh Fire Company, Past Town of Forestburgh Supervisor for three terms, Treasurer Knights of Columbus, Deacon for twenty-six years of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, October 4 from 5-8 pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 5 at 10am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Forestburgh.
