Obituary of Kimberly Denise Romer

Kimberly went to be with the Angels on September 25, 2017. She fought a courageous battle with breast cancer that eventually spread throughout her body. Kimberly was born in Harris, NY at Community General Hospital. She was the first-born child of Benjamin Lee Romer and Cindy Marie Romer. She was raised in Bloomingburg and graduated from Pine Bush Schools. Because of her outgoing and bubbly personality, she worked in various occupational fields during her career. She had been a member of the Bloomingburg Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and served as President at one point. She was also a member of the Democratic Committee of the Town of Mamakating. Her main accomplishment and love of her life was her son Allen Benjamin. A favorite pastime of Kimberly's was teaching Allen about nature and the beauty of our Earth. She is survived by her 6-year old son: Allen Benjamin Leeper, at home; her parents of Wurtsboro; a sister: April Michelle Lewis & her husband Sean of Woodbourne; a brother: Erik Daniel Romer of Wurtsboro; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. She was predeceased by her grandparents Edward & Edith Romer; and Ernest & Ella Morse. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 27 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the family plot at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
