Lucille Neails, a former self-employed housekeeper, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at her home in Monticello surrounded by her family. She was 82. The daughter of the late Benjamin Bennett and Ethel Grant Bennett, she was born July 19, 1935 in Charleston, SC. Survivors include her children: Gwen Bennett, Jacqueline Neails, Jill Neails, Ethel Neails, Joyce Neails, John Neails, Yashica Holmes, and Cherelle Neails; her siblings: Shirley Bennett, Juanita Robinson, and Mary Little; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son: James Neails; and three brothers: Joseph Bennett, Robert Bennett and Ethel Small. Family & friends are invited to gather on Monday, August 14 from 10am-12pm at the First Baptist Church of Monticello, 28 Liberty Street in Monticello with a funeral service starting at 12:00 noon at the church. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
