Obituary of Henrietta F. Ivan

Henrietta Frances Ivan, a lifelong resident of the area, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 79. The daughter of the late Lyle Conklin & Gladys King Conklin, she was born August 17, 1933 in Monticello. Henrietta was a former operator for the New York Telephone Co. in Monticello and retired as a nurse's aide at Hamilton Avenue Hospital in Monticello. She is survived by her children: Patti Kaus and the late Keith Kaus of Liberty, Melody Brunn and the late Dr. Stanley Brunn of Slate Hill, Eric Ivan Sr. of Monticello, Kathy Ivan-Talbot and Chris Talbot of Westtown, NY, and Vicki Papalia and Andrew Papalia of Lakewood, NJ; a sister-in-law: Mari-Jane Conklin of Hurleyville; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Patrick; a son Patrick Ivanitski Jr.; a brother William Conklin; and two sisters: Audrey Olmstead and her husband, Edwin, and Gladys Boeckman. Family & friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 28 at 10:00am at St Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello. Burial will follow at the Mongaup Valley Union Cemetery located on Starlight Road near 17B in Mongaup Valley. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
