Obituary of Margaret F. Ippolito

Margaret Frances "Peggy" Ippolito, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 80. The daughter of the late Francis Neal and Margaret Doherty Neal, she was born June 6, 1937 in Lexington, Mass. She was the widow of John R. Ippolito, Sr. who predeceased her on July 7, 1998. Peggy was a member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Bloomingburg where she was active in the craft circle. She also received various awards from the Mamakating Seniors and RSVP. Survivors include her three sons: John Ippolito & his wife Pam of Middletown, Timothy Ippolito & his wife Aylin of Montgomery, and Matthew Ippolito & his wife Fran of Wurtsboro; six grandchildren: John, Robert and his wife Susan, Eian, Sara, Marisa and Paul; one great granddaughter: Emma; a sister: Sally Alderich of Boston, MA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Edward and a sister, Ruth. Family & friends are invited to gather on Sunday, July 23 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 24 at 11am at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, High Street in Bloomingburg with Fr. Paul Denault, O.Carm officiating. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
