Donald P. Smith, "Donny" of Monticello, a self-employed floor installer, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at home. He was 71.
The son of the late Cyril "Dick" Smith and Mary Pearson Smith, he was born November 28,1945 in Vallejo, CA.
Donny was a lifetime member of Ridge Runners Hunting Camp in Harris where he loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by five children: Donny DeSimone (Francisco) of Miami, FL, Maria DeRose (Tony) of Shrewsbury, NJ, Chris Smith (Robyn) of Harrisburg, PA, Jesse Smith of Manalapan, NJ, and Jamie Goldstein (David) of Apple Valley, MN; five grandchildren: Andrew and Alaina DeRose, Christopher Smith, and Zachary and Alex Goldstein; his fur baby Willie; one brother: Duke Smith; two sisters: Mary Dollard and Janet Price; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: David and Dicky Smith.
A memorial service and celebration of Donny's life will be held at Ridge Runners Hunting Camp on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 12:00pm.
