Cynthia Anne Stephenson of Middletown, a former resident of Wurtsboro Hills, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at home. She was 51. The daughter of John Del Santo and the late Phyllis Hultslander Del Santo, she was born December 15, 1965 in Middletown. Cindy was preceded in death by her son: Justin Wishart; her mother: Phyllis Anne Hultslander Del Santo; and by Russell Detzauer; the father of her daughter, Ella Rose. Cindy was a member of the class of '83 at Astronaut High School in Titusville, Florida and also attended Titusville High School. She played clarinet and was in the high school band. Cindy worked with the US Postal Service and, for the last seventeen years, worked at A.D.R Bulbs, Inc where she had held the position of office manager. Cindy was an avid gardener and nature-lover. She especially loved camping. Cindy also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and other needle crafts. Cindy was a devoted babysitter of her grandson, Kayden Cole. Best remembered for her infectious smile and sunny disposition, Cindy was greatly loved by many friends. Her generosity was inspiring. Cindy was a woman who treasured her family and stayed in close contact with those she cherished. Survivors include her two daughters: Tonya Ward (Kevin Babcock) and Ella Detzauer; a grandson: Kayden Babcock; her father: John Del Santo (Betsy); a sister: Greta Crank (Chris); her uncle Bill Hultslander (Cheryl) and their children: Brian and Kevin (Gina); nephew Aaron; niece Abby; and several great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Family & friends are invited to gather on Monday, July 3 from 4-6pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the family would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Wurtsboro.
