Duane T. Heaster, "Buddy", an employee of Target in Middletown, passed peacefully Friday, May 19, 2017 at his home in Bloomingburg surrounded by his loving family. He was 53.
The son of the late Terry Duane Heaster and Harriet Schneberger Heaster, he was born July 16, 1963 in Nyack.
Buddy was a gentle, kind soul, loved by all. Anyone who knew or met Buddy was welcomed by a smile and a laugh. Formerly of Piermont, he was an avid sports lover, especially the NY Mets. He graduated Tappan Zee High School in 1981. He will be truly missed by anyone who he had met.
He is survived by a sister: Veronica "Vicky" Peressini & her husband Wayne; and brother John W. Heaster; all of Bloomingburg; three nieces, one nephew; and three great nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, May 25 from 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will be held on Friday morning, May 26 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bloomingburg Rural cemetery.
