Paul (Paulie) Gaughan, 47, of Monticello, New York, passed away on May 8, 2017 in Monticello, New York. Paulie was born in Brooklyn, New York to James and Joyce Gaughan on September 30, 1969. He worked as a Bartender at Roark's Tavern for 10+ years, several other bars in Sullivan County, as well as Pharaoh Transportation. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, the Allman Brothers Band, and attending Grateful Dead concerts. Paulie is survived by his daughters, Carlie and Alaina Gaughan of Highland Lake, NY; his siblings James S. Gaughan of Naples, Fla., Jane Donato of Monticello, and Glenn and Sue Gaughan of New York, NY; his nieces and nephews, James Donato, Joyce Maxwell, Richard Donato, Robert Donato, MaryJane Donato, Glenn Gaughan Jr., Patrick Gaughan, James Ryan Gaughan, and Marc Anthony Gaughan, several great nieces and nephews; as well as his significant other, Paula Yates of Monticello. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Joyce Gaughan. A memorial service to celebrate Paulie's life will be held in the near future.
