Obituary of Rufino Peter Rodriguez

Rufino Peter Rodriguez of Monticello, a plant operations technician for the Monticello Central Schools District, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 59. The son of Albertina Martinez and the late Rufino Rodriguez, he was born March 4, 1958 in Harris. He was a graduate of Monticello High School and went on to SUNY Delhi where he obtained his degree in HVAC and Refrigeration. He was a successful business owner for many years in the Monticello area. He was known for his hard work, his giving nature and infectious smile and unmistakable laugh. He is survived by his five children: Christopher, Matthew, Dominique, Carlos, and Alejandro; his wife Pilar; his mother Albertina; ten siblings: Christopher, David, Aida, Beatrice, Lillian, Betty, Maria, Caroline, Patricia, and William; his four grandchildren: Daryn, Carmella, Breiyn, and, Jahiem; as well as his many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Rufino. Family & friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March 25 from 2-5pm at the VanInwegen Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.
