Richard "Richie" P. Rzekonski, beloved husband of Virginia Rzekonski, passed away on Friday March 10th 2017, at Orange Regional Hospital in Middletown, NY. He was 68.
Richie was born in Mineola, New York April 5th, 1948, to Joseph and Mary Rzekonski.
Richie honorably served three years in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1971. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He worked for over 30 years and retired from NYS DOT Highway Department only to continue his love of landscaping, fishing, and making anyone around him smile.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings, Joe, John, Joyce and Valarie; Rick his son; Anne Marie his daughter-in-law; Victoria his daughter; six grandchildren; and Rob his stepson. He is also survived by close friends: Frank, Billy and all many friends of Bill.W. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Stanley.
As per Richie's request, no formal funeral services are being held.
