Stefan E. Kunicki, a retired employee for Con Edison and longtime resident of the area died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Middletown, NY. He was 70. The son of the late Sergiusz and Viktoria Kunicki, he was born November 13, 1945 in Italy. Formerly from Brooklyn and Queens, Stefan had a great love of cars, the outdoors and was handy around the house. He is survived by his loving wife Laura; his loving children: Thomas Kunicki, and Alina Makowski & her husband Chester; and granddaughter Ashley Makowski. Visitation will be held at Friday, April 15 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 16 at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Middletown, NY. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
