Obituary of Warren Lewis Dumas

Warren Lewis Dumas, an assembler with Wal-Mart and lifelong resident of the area, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home in Kauneonga Lake surrounded by his family. He was 52. The son of the late Alvin Dumas Sr. and Lucille Edwards Freeman, he was born April 7, 1960 in Monticello. Warren leaves behind his wife: Lucille Regina Jenkins Dumas, at home; his sons: Joseph Davis of Monticello, Warren Dumas Jr. of Kauneonga Lake, and Joshua Dumas of Kauneonga Lake; his daughters: LaQuana Dumas of Raleigh, NC, Shanique Dumas-Garden (Jacobee Sr.) of Walterboro, SC, Monique of Philadelphia, PA, Brandi Dumas-Howell (Brandon Sr.) of Wilson Mills, NC, Jacqueline Jenkins-Parrish (Tyrone) of Brooklyn, and Jasmine Dumas of Kauneonga Lake; his sisters: Aldo of Queens, Goldie of Las Vegas, NV, Beverly Ann of Hilton Head, NC, Debra Ann of Tuscaloosa, AL and Vanessa (Philip) of Monticello; his brothers: Harold (Barbara) of the Bronx, Al (Mary) of Monticello, and Jamil Freeman (Cynthia) of Powder Springs, GA; his grandchildren: Zakeya, Myasia, Romia, Jacobee Jr., Joshua, Aleeyaw, Brandon Jr., Jayven, Zyonna and Bryson; godfather: William Bowels; goddaughter: Shaunte Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Louise, Elizabeth, Alvin Jr. and Sonia. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, September 24 from 6-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello, NY. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 1:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Monticello, 28 Liberty St., Monticello, with Rev. James Matthews officiating.
