Ceola A. Bickham of Monticello, a housekeeper and longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Orlando, FL where she had been residing lately. She was 81. The daughter of the late Jesse Armstead and Equilla Sledge Armstead, she was born July 17, 1931 in Bay Minette, Alabama. She was the widow of James S. Bickham who predeceased her on January 12, 2008. She leaves behind her children: Marion Bickham, James Jr. & Monica Bickham, Marie & Allan Bonner, Seth & Sharon Brown, Lydia Brown, LaVarn & Delvin Prince; her loving grandchildren; Ryan & Nikita Tinsley, Monica, Monique, Ronnell & MaVar Tinsley, Rena & Jovan West, Jourdan & Megumi Bickham, Cassondra & Toribio Garcia, Gerard Bonner, Brendon & Stacey Bonner, Justin & Trynnyssyca Bonner; twenty four great grandchildren; brothers, Jonathan & Anita Armstead, Bishop Mervin & Lillian Armstead, Robert, and Howard Armstead; and one sister, Zakat Ali Armstead; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Family & friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 21 from 5-8pm and on Saturday, September 22 from 11am-12noon at the Bethlehem Temple Church, 93 Fairground Road in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the church. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
