Obituary of Rita Ann McCreary

Rita Ann McCreery of Monticello, a retired waitress and lifelong resident of the area, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 89.
The daughter of the late Frank Bond and Emma Hawkins, she was born November 4, 1928 in Monticello. She was the widow of John McCreery who predeceased her in 1970.
She was a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter: Virginia Scott of Rock Hill; a son: David John McCreery & his wife Charlin of Greenville; two grandchildren: Zachary McCreery, and Victoria Johnson & her husband Matthew; a niece: Patricia Gulotta and her children: Chase and Jenna; and her dog: Lucy.
Family & friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 30 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello with a prayer service starting at 11am. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
